Meet Shital Patel. She achieved alot professionally. Frustrated that she couldn’t get the attention of her family, she goes undercover as a man.

Shital was raised in an Indian immigrant family. No matter what she accomplished, it was never enough. She went on the Bravo TV show “In a Man’s World” where Shital became “Raj.”  She was trained to walk like a man. She had a plaster cast made of her head to transform her into a male version of herself. And then came her birthday day. She arrived at the dinner and her father barely engaged her. But when “Raj” sat down across from hi,, posing as a cousin, her father told ‘him’ his dreams and aspirations for his life. The show concludes with her father admitting, he wasn’t raised with the skills to engage his daughter in conversation. But it’s something he aims to change.

A SIX WEEK MASTERCLASS

I’m finally doing it.

The most common question I get asked by women is “How can I be a better public speaker?”  It’s usually paired with (like you) I’ve done one on one coaching with women. But come January, I’m formalizing it a bit by offering a 6 week masterclass on the subject.

I’ve cut my teeth as a business anchor reporting from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. I had a series of screens around on the trading floor that informed me where the Dow, Nasdaq, oil and gold stood and a series of bullet points scratched on a piece of paper about the stocks I needed to talk about. I had to fashion all of this into a 2 or 3 minute cogent and compelling story for the airwaves, with usually with a commercial break to put it together. This experience has trained me to work fast and design a class to give you immediate results.

Saturday, February 22nd, LadyDrinks member Sunaina Mehra of Francis Financial leads us in a “Money Circle,” a conversation circle where we get curious about our story around money.
